Normality…Finally!
We signed off last year acknowledging how tough navigating Covid had been with things not quite back to normal… Well, things are now officially normal - well as “normal” as they can be in the Klick Office!. We are back in the thick of it after a very successful 2022 and would like to thank all our clients, old and new, for keeping us busy throughout the year. Our team are fully back to working in our Wall Heath office and we’ve enjoyed being able to once again attend face to face networking events and meet clients for brainstorms during 2022.
Achievements
All of our amazing employees have continued to work hard and support each other, and with the perseverance and dedication of our team we have:
Produced and submitted over 200 high quality tenders since the start of the year, with an impressive 79% win rate for tenders evaluated.
Tenders won amount to winning over £750 million worth of contracts for our clients.
Helped 22 brand new clients who have approached Klick this year win new contracts.
Delivered over 160 hours of tender writing training.
So what’s new in 2022?
This year have welcomed 4 new members of staff, to the Klick team. Vivian, Tom, and Ben as tender writers and our newest employee Keeley has joined the team to support Neil on Tender administration.
We also decided it was time for a website revamp! We’ve been clinging onto our old website for a while and thought there’s no time like the present. Please feel free to check it out at www.klickbusinesssolutions.co.uk.
Meet the Buyer
In July, Klick organised in partnership with the Black County NHS Partnership a local Meet the Buyer Event at the Hawthorns in West Bromwich. We welcomed over 137 different Black Country/Birmingham companies to the event (100 was our limit) and such was the popularity of the event, we had to turn away more than half of those who applied. 12 Public Sector organisations were represented, including Birmingham City Council, Sandwell Council, Wolverhampton Council, Dudley Council, Walsall Council, The NHS, Universities, Network Rail, HS2 and Midlands Housing Associations. The day was fabulous and included workshops, presentations, networking, and chance to meet the buyers face to face. The feedback we received from both delegates and the procurement/buyers was fantastic and we have been asked to organise more events in the future, so keep an eye on our social media pages on LinkedIn and Facebook.
Charity Work
Sunflowers: Our MD, Andrea Childs has raised just under an amazing £3000 for Blood Cancer charities Cure Leukaemia and A Gift to Lift, both are very close to our hearts. Andrea harvests and sells sunflower seeds in memory of her daughter Beth and her close friend Ellie who met on the Young Persons Unit at the QE Hospital in Birmingham, as part of their treatment for Blood Cancer. We want to say a huge thank you to John Donovan at JJX Logistics for promoting Cure Leukaemia by having Beth’s name and the Cure Leukaemia logo printed on one of their new lorries to further raise awareness. We will be continuing our fundraising and if anyone would like welcome 2023 by growing some lovely bright sunflowers whilst supporting an amazing cause, please get in touch!
Black Country Toy Appeal: This Christmas, Klick have been a proud supporter of the Black Country Toy Appeal. The amazing charity collects various items to donate to the 7500 children in the Black Country living in poverty to ensure they receive a present this Christmas, including, toys, clothes, toiletries, chocolates, etc.
Our office in Wall Heath has been a collection point for the charity, and we have transported presents to Santa HQ where they are sorted and wrapped by the fantastic volunteers. The generosity of the public this year has been overwhelming, along with a number of our very own clients who have also donated, helping the foundation achieve its mission to reach as many children in poverty as they can.
Members of our Klick team also swapped their tender writing/admin duties to become Elves for the day, wrapping and sorting the presents at the Santa HQ. Also, a big shout out to our clients, naming a couple: Pickering’s & Elis for supporting this amazing cause. We’d also like to mention friends of Klick at Pegasus, Missy Moos Café in Lye, James Aust at Anderson Consulting and Sarah Bishop from Recruit Recruit for donations.
The Klick Spirit!
On top of all our hard work this year we have still managed to enjoy a couple of Klick outings. We had a mid-summer night out at Bongos Bingo followed by our early Christmas do at the Flight Club in Birmingham! Thank you to our amazing MD Andrea Childs for treating us!
The traditional ’Christmas office and hot turkey lunch followed by ‘Klick style party games’ is next week!
