Mayor’s Ball and Civic Awards Nomination

The good news seems to keep on rolling in for Klick Business Solutions and we’re hoping to continue in the same vein next Friday evening when we will be in attendance at Dudley Council’s 13th annual Mayor’s Ball and Civic Awards. This is because after being shortlisted down from a huge 95 candidates, we are among the final 3 companies in contention for the Mike Holder Award for Business.

All members of our superb team will be getting their glad rags on for this special event at the Copthorne Hotel to celebrate the great things the members of our local community have been achieving in the last year.

As well as the Mike Holder Award for Business, a host of great nominees from the Dudley area will also be competing for the following accolades:

  • The Duncan Edwards award for sport
  • The Cedric Hardwicke award for arts
  • The Frank Foley award for community spirit
  • The Thomas Attwood award for education
  • The William Shenstone award for environment
  • The Mayor’s ‘Pride of Dudley Award’

The Mayor’s ‘Pride of Dudley Award’ will be decided by a public vote after the Mayor of Dudley, Councillor Steve Waltho, has chosen four people or groups he feels have stood out to him on his civic engagements so far in his mayoral year.

The entire evening is in aid of the Mayor’s five fantastic and wholly deserving chosen charities which are West Midlands Lupus Group, The Hope Centre, Leukaemia Unit Appeal Fund for Russells Hall Hospital, More Mascots Please and The What? Centre.

We would love to be recognised for our hard work by winning this prestigious prize so please keep your fingers crossed for Klick as we aim to add to the Customer Service Award we won at the Black Country Chamber of Commerce Awards in November 2015.

However, it must be said we are delighted that we have been invited to attend this memorable occasion as part of the final three worthy companies as there were many excellent local businesses in contention before the final cut was made.

Whatever the outcome is, we know that we’ll have a superb night at the Mayor’s Ball and Civic Awards celebrating our community and will hope to top off an evening away from tender writing by bringing a trophy back to the office with us on Monday morning. Wish us luck!
