Klick Business Solutions were delighted to join in with Macmillan Cancer Support’s annual ‘World’s Biggest Coffee Morning’ for the first time this year, inviting residents of the local community to taste our staff’s range of delicious homemade cakes and make a charitable donation in the process.
Friday 30th September saw people up and down the country host their own coffee morning in aid of the amazing Macmillan Cancer Support, a nationwide effort which has seen over £8 million raised so far. Here at Klick, we are delighted to have been able to contribute to this figure, having raised £112 towards the brave fight against cancer that so many individuals are struggling with on a daily basis.
Whilst the money we were able to raise was undoubtedly the highlight of a successful Friday morning, we also took great pride in the fact that all our visitors seemed to enjoy the cakes made with our very own hands. Given that some members of the team have significantly less baking experience than others, including one that had literally never made a cake before, it was great to see our flapjacks, muffins and rocky roads disappear so quickly. The peanut butter cheesecake made by Klick’s resident baking expert Carly Williams stood out in what was an impressive array of homemade delicacies, going down a storm with visitors and staff alike.
We would like to thank all of the extremely generous members of our local community who took time out their day to sit with with us over a coffee and a cake. We greatly appreciate all the donations that were made and we hope you’ll come back again next year as we will certainly be looking to contribute further to what is an incredibly worthy cause.
